Robert (Bob) A. Jefferis, Associate

Bob is a registered patent attorney. He specializes in the preparation and prosecution of US and international patent applications in the chemical, electrical, software and mechanical arts.

Bob focuses his practice on helping inventors and/or businesses obtain intellectual property protection with patents, trademarks and copyrights for their innovations and creative works. With his varied background, Bob works across a variety of technologies and businesses to prepare applications and argue on their behalf with the Patent and Trademark Office and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) for allowance. Bob also counsels businesses and individuals with regard to copyright and trade secret protection.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Bob worked for 30 years in information technology, which involved 25 years of management experience in a variety of industries that include healthcare, higher education, retail, and software development and in functional areas of application development, database administration, system security, technical support, strategic planning, site planning, disaster planning and recovery, and quantitative analysis.
